Terms of Service
The Lair is a fan-run archive for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, operated by Room 808 LLC ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these terms. We're fans, not the band or its labels — The Lair is unofficial.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to use The Lair. If you use it, you're responsible for what happens under your account.
Your account
You sign in with your email and pick a handle. Keep your login to yourself; you're responsible for activity on your account. Don't impersonate other people or claim shows you didn't attend.
Your content
Photos, videos, listings, posts, ratings, and memories you add are yours. By posting anything public, you give us a non-exclusive license to store it and show it to other members inside The Lair — nothing more. You keep ownership; you can remove your content at any time. Only post media you have the right to share, and don't upload anything that isn't yours.
Ground rules
- No harassment, hate, threats, or abuse toward other members or the band.
- No illegal content, spam, scams, or attempts to break, scrape, or overload the app.
- No selling counterfeit items or anything you don't actually have.
- No impersonation and no faking attendance or verification.
Every piece of content can be reported and every member can be blocked from inside the app. We hide reported content once it's flagged by multiple members and can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
The marketplace
Members can list and trade fan items with each other. Those deals are strictly between the members involved — we're not a party to them, we don't handle the goods, and we don't guarantee any listing, buyer, or seller. Trade carefully and use your judgment.
Connecting your Gmail (optional)
If you choose to connect Gmail, it's read-only and used only to find ticket-confirmation emails and suggest shows for your archive. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what we access and how. You can disconnect at any time.
Payments & tips
Any tips or donations are processed by Stripe and are voluntary and non-refundable except where required by law. We don't store your card details.
Third-party services
The Lair relies on services like Supabase (backend), Stripe (payments), Google (optional Gmail import), and the Internet Archive (streaming the band's free recordings). Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms.
No warranty
The Lair is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will always be available, accurate, or error-free. Archive data is compiled from public and fan sources and may be incomplete.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Room 808 LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of The Lair, including anything that happens in a member-to-member trade.
Ending your use
You can stop using The Lair and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the community at risk.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app grows. If we make a material change, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use The Lair means you accept the current terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
